Fernando Lúcio de Oliveira researched in the area of ​​Syntax, in the field of Experimental Psycholinguistics, more specifically in the sub-area of ​​Sentence Processing, especially in the study of Subject-Object Asymmetry (SOA) in Brazilian and European Portuguese, through experimental techniques such as self-monitored reading, eye tracking, and electroencephalography.
