Doctor, Master, and Bachelor in Linguistics from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), he conducts research in the area of Natural Language Processing, seeking to establish interaction between humans and machines through natural language. He is currently a professor at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), affiliated with the Institute of Science, Technology, and Innovation (ICTI).
