Roseta Magazine
Roseta is a Linguistics outreach journal in the field of linguistic studies. It aims to democratize knowledge, fostering public dialogue on linguistic topics with society. For this reason, our publications should be easily understood by people who do not have any academic background in Languages or Linguistics. We believe that bringing science closer to the public can empower individuals and provide conditions for reflecting on their relationships with others and language.
Format
A Portuguese version of the text is mandatory. The author may also choose to submit an additional English version. The purpose of the optional English version is to promote the internationalization of research produced in the country. Texts should have a maximum of 5.000 characters (not counting spaces). By submitting a text to Roseta, the author attests that the submitted work is their own. Roseta is not responsible for the opinions, concepts, and positions expressed in the texts, which are the sole responsibility of the author(s). We have prepared a Guide that explains what is expected of texts popularizing Linguistics.
Evaluation
Manuscripts submitted to Roseta are evaluated by the editor of the Roseta Magazine and by two reviewers, considering two dimensions: (i) the information (the technical aspect) addressed by the text is suitable (ii) the manuscript’s form is adequate to the proposal of popularizing Linguistics (the textual/aesthetic aspect).
